I am quite interested in the idea of quince in savoury dishes but this is the road less travelled for me so will have a look for pipian. As for white asparagus - it in interesting but only in that odd way - what is wrong with green? :-)Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6613412900692601553.post-82849727796522944902014-02-04T22:34:23.221-08:002014-02-04T22:34:23.221-08:00Both quince and white asparagus are such rare trea...Both quince and white asparagus are such rare treats! I can simply never find quinces, no matter the season, so I can only drool over the idea of poaching them in sugar and warm spices. Of course, I would reach for the ice cream to finish them off, rather than custard. ;)Hannahhttp://www.bittersweetblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6613412900692601553.post-8113641808825222122014-02-04T21:42:01.409-08:002014-02-04T21:42:01.409-08:00I haven't tried either quince or white asparag...I haven't tried either quince or white asparagus, you make them sound so very interesting and tasty.
