VeganMoFo is nearly here...

VeganMoFo is almost here!

October is VeganMoFo (or the Vegan Month of Food, to give it it's full title!) - a month of posting about all things vegan and food-related, with a view to writing a minimum of 20 posts.

I did it last year for the first time, and I'm really looking forward to doing it again.

My theme for MoFo is the unexplored, and I'll be aiming to cook a whole bunch of new things I've never tried before throughout the whole of October.

Whether it's ingredients I've never cooked with, things I've never made a vegan version of, or dishes that I've always wanted to make but have been too intimidated to try, I'll be spending the month broadening my culinary repertoire, one day at a time!

I'll be using the alphabet as my guide, cooking from A to Z. First up, for the letter A, I'll be cooking amaranth, then black salt for B - you get the idea (Yeah, Q, Z and U are going to be a bit tricky, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it...) and reporting on the ups and downs of my new cooking experiences.

You know the other thing I like about MoFo? Loads of my favourite vegan bloggers do it too, so there's so many more fascinating posts to read and scads of extra food porn out there FOR A WHOLE MONTH - marvellous!

  1. Great idea for a theme. I must say I've never cooked aramanth either, not even sure what it looks like! I'm attempting 4 different mini themes, some I feel more confident about than others.

  5. Oooh speaking of the letter Z, do you remember Zero Bars? I've been thinking about a vegan version of those for months and can't figure out how to approach it.
